My Approach
I practice Integrative therapy, a holistic approach that combines techniques and ideas from different schools of psychotherapy to create a personalized treatment plan for each individual. I tailor the therapeutic experience to best meet my clients’ unique needs, goals, and preferences, utilizing components of evidence-based treatments such as CBT, DBT, ACT, Somatic therapy and Mindfulness. I also integrate feminist, social justice, and existential perspectives to support clients in finding self-understanding, healthy self-image, resilience, and empowerment.
My goal is to help you think more clearly, find groundedness in your emotional wisdom, build stronger relationships, and handle life’s challenges with confidence and self-compassion. You don’t need a diagnosis to benefit; therapy is a space for everyone to explore and reflect, regardless of how you label or conceptualize your mental health and wellness needs. I’m here to meet you wherever you’re at, with warmth, open-mindedness and a generous dose of humour.

What is the cost per session?
My rate is $170 per 50 minute individual session. Some sliding scale options may be available for students and individuals identifying as low-income. Please inquire for more details.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies based on individual needs and goals. Some clients come for short-term support (3–6 sessions), while others engage in longer-term work.
How long is each session?
Typical individual sessions are usually 50 minutes long. Extended sessions (75–90 minutes) are available depending on your needs.
Can I get a diagnosis or medication?
As a Licensed Counselling Therapist, I do not provide formal assessments, diagnoses or prescribe medication. These needs are best supported by a physician, such as a psychiatrist or family doctor, or a psychologist. I can assist in exploring community referral options with you.
Do you offer group therapy?
I would be happy to discuss your needs for group therapy or corporate sessions. Please reach out to inquire about current offerings.
What if I’m in crisis or need immediate help?
Services are by advance appointment only, and I cannot offer immediate crisis support. Is everything I share confidential?
Yes – everything you share in therapy is private and treated with the utmost care and respect. As your counsellor, I am legally and ethically bound to protect your confidentiality.
However, there are a few important exceptions where I may be required to share information, even without your consent. These situations are rare, but it’s important that you understand them from the start:
Risk of Harm
If I believe you are at serious risk of harming yourself or someone else, I may need to take steps to ensure safety. This could include contacting emergency services or notifying someone who can help.
Abuse or Neglect
If there is reason to believe that a child (age 18 and under in New Brunswick), dependent adult, or elder is being abused, neglected, or at risk, I am legally required to report this to the appropriate authorities.
Court Orders or Legal Subpoenas
If I am subpoenaed by a court of law, I may be legally obligated to provide testimony and/or release relevant information only.
Supervision or Consultation
To ensure ethical and effective practice, I may occasionally consult with trusted colleagues or supervisors. In these cases, your identity is protected, and no identifying information is shared.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes, I offer secure and confidential virtual counselling sessions, held through a PHIPAA-compliant video telehealth platform that protects your information and privacy. To attend virtual sessions, you’ll need a quiet, private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone.
Research has shown that virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions, and it allows me to support clients across New Brunswick and in other eligible parts of Canada.
Are your services accessible for people with disabilities?
For in-person sessions, my office features convenient, free on-site parking directly outside the main building entrance (first 3 spots to the left of the door). Clients can take the elevator to the 3rd floor, and will then need to climb one flight of stairs to access Suite 400 on the 4th floor. For those who may struggle with stairs or have other disability/accessibility concerns, I am happy to facilitate our sessions through a secure telehealth video platform, which can be customized with various audio and visual aids as needed.
